Product Review Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site field engineering support to the United States Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base
• Facilitate the assessment and resolution of technical, operational, and quality issues throughout the product lifecycle
• Coordinate the development and release of interim and permanent engineering dispositions to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Use innovative approaches to solve complex nonconforming conditions and identify deviations impacting design intent
• Lead activities for on-site disabled aircraft repair/recovery teams and accident investigation boards
• Conduct static strength analysis and develop structural repairs
• Support Integrated Product Teams (IPT) by providing design phase subject matter expertise
• Develop technical training curriculum and implement product/process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• Experience applying engineering principles to research technical, operational, and quality issues
• U.S. Person status required (U.S. Citizen, National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 or more years of related work experience
• Active U.S. Security Clearance held within the past 24 months
• Previous experience with Material Review Board (MRB), product review, or delegated engineering authority (DEA) on the C-17 program
• Proficiency using NX/Unigraphics or CATIA for structural repair development
• Experience with aircraft metal and composite structural design, analysis, and repair
