Product Repair/Modification Technician

Responsibilities

• Disassemble system components to support failure correction or implement changes
• Perform routine troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate and repair faults
• Conduct validation and verification testing of systems and components
• Inspect components for cleanliness and serviceability prior to installation
• Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to technical specifications
• Execute tasks associated with safe aerospace vehicle handling, including jacking and towing

Requirements

• Experience in the design, development, test, or manufacturing of spacecraft systems
• Experience in fluid testing and/or mechanical testing
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computing systems
• Willingness to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of related work experience (Level C) or 5+ years (Level D)
• Experience working with Human Spaceflight hardware
• Experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting, routing, splicing, and wire harness construction
• Proficiency with hand and power tools such as drills, sanders, and saws
• Experience with electrical and mechanical calibration disciplines
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 and ANSI/NCSL Z540.1/Z540.3 standards
