Product Quality Engineer (PQE)

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical assistance to the dealer network via the Technical Helpdesk.
• Identify, report, and manage product quality issues by liaising with Volvo Truck Corporation.
• Monitor Field/Dealer Quality Reports (DQR) and utilize Market Quality Report (MQR) routines.
• Analyze warranty costs and failure frequencies to identify high-cost issues and request financial support.
• Support the Sales Department by providing input regarding quality issues arising from vehicle specifications.
• Verify dealer compliance with Volvo Group Trucks standards regarding safety, workshop operations, and visual identity.
• Identify training needs and conduct On-the-Job Training for dealers regarding maintenance and diagnostics.
• Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and provide general assistance to the technical team.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy-duty commercial vehicles and diagnostic processes.
• Experience in technical support, after-sales service, or warranty management within the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in both French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency in IT tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a field-based environment.
