About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage product quality throughout the entire lifecycle, from development to post-market, for video and public safety hardware.
- Set up testing, develop scenarios, and analyze hardware to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
- Lead MRB material disposition activities and manage 8D/RCA teams to perform corrective and preventive actions (CAPA/APEX).
- Create First Article Inspection Plans (FAIR) and production part approvals (PPAP).
- Manage Acceptable Quality Limits (AQL) sampling plans for incoming, in-process, and outgoing quality.
- Lead teams in generating dFMEAs to identify and mitigate risks related to new product designs and processes.
- Provide quality engineering support through statistical analysis, measurement systems analysis, and root cause analysis.
- Utilize statistical techniques to analyze data for process improvement and document results through protocols and reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Quality, or similar).
- 5+ years of plant operations and/or quality experience with a proven track record of measurable improvements.
- Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) or equivalent experience in process evaluation and improvement.
- Knowledge of and experience using IPC 610-A standards.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Minitab, JMP, or other statistical software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, and standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical report writing abilities.
