Product & PLG Lead

About the Company

AgentMail is building the communication and identity layer for AI agents. We provide every AI agent with its own programmable inbox, allowing developers to use our API to manage threads, parse messages, and build agents that communicate across the internet. We are backed by Y Combinator and General Catalyst.

Responsibilities

• Own product analytics across PostHog and related tools
• Build dashboards for signup quality, activation, retention, expansion, churn, and PLG-to-sales conversion
• Segment users by persona, use case, company type, behavior, API usage, and revenue potential
• Run A/B tests across onboarding, docs, lifecycle emails, pricing, packaging, and activation flows
• Identify which API features and use cases drive the strongest retention and expansion
• Interview customers and translate usage into clear personas and product insights
• Build lifecycle campaigns that help users get to value faster
• Partner with engineering to improve docs, examples, templates, SDK flows, and first-run experience
• Partner with revenue to identify high-intent accounts and expansion opportunities

Requirements

• Experience in PLG, growth, product, analytics, or lifecycle at a technical product company
• Proficiency with tools like PostHog, Amplitude, Mixpanel, Segment, Customer.io, SQL, Hex, or Metabase
• Ability to form hypotheses, instrument experiments, and interpret results
• Strong focus on developer experience and business outcomes
• Ability to conduct user interviews and inspect raw product data
• Comfort with ambiguity and creating structure from messy usage patterns

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with developer tools, APIs, infrastructure, or AI products
• Experience turning self-serve users into sales-qualified accounts
• Experience with pricing and packaging experiments
• Experience building onboarding, documentation, or lifecycle systems
• Ability to write clear product copy and explain technical concepts simply
