Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the team's product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and sprint-ready.
• Define and communicate the product vision and multi-year roadmap in alignment with institutional corporate strategy.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Corporate Reporting Agile Team and stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, and IT.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that delivered features meet stakeholder expectations and the Definition of Done.
• Collect, process, and analyze financial data to support accurate and timely corporate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting processes and develop standardized documentation and data dictionaries.
• Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or Tableau to communicate financial insights to diverse audiences.
• Monitor product performance and adoption metrics to drive continuous improvement through Inspect & Adapt sessions.

Requirements

• Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• 5–10 years of direct SAFe experience at scale.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools including SQL and Python.
• Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft Excel for reporting and visualization.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting principles, reporting standards, and financial statement analysis.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps at Team and ART levels.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC), Advanced SPC (ASPC), or SPC Trainer (SPCT) certification.
• Additional certifications such as SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFe Agile Product Manager (APM), or Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience working within a financial institution.
• Familiarity with financial reporting platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Azure Data Lakehouse.
