Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Define the product vision and roadmap to digitize waste management
• Identify market trends, user needs, and industry regulations
• Engage with stakeholders including waste pickers, collection centers, and recyclers to prioritize requirements
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Oversee the design and development of mobile applications, back-end systems, and dashboards
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure user-friendly interfaces
• Plan, track, and manage the execution of product development initiatives
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of milestones
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Partner with operations teams to identify automation opportunities in waste management workflows
• Drive development of features for waste traceability, reporting, and compliance
• Define KPIs to measure product success and operational efficiency
• Analyze user feedback and system data for continuous improvement
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in sustainability, clean tech, or logistics
• Proven project management experience leading teams and managing multiple projects
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project
• Proficiency in mobile and web application development workflows
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Dundas BI

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or PMP certification
• Knowledge of waste management operations or circular economy principles
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations
