Product Marketing Lead, Privacy

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery to understand user expectations, enterprise requirements, and market dynamics related to privacy and data stewardship
• Translate privacy insights into clear product requirements in partnership with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Policy stakeholders
• Own launch strategy and execution for new privacy features, including user controls, transparency disclosures, and consent flows
• Build durable narratives and materials that explain privacy choices simply across product messaging, help centers, and internal enablement
• Develop and maintain a privacy positioning framework that differentiates OpenAI while remaining grounded in product capabilities
• Partner with Design and Data Science to define success metrics for privacy experiences, such as control adoption and comprehension

Requirements

• Strong structured problem-solving skills with the ability to drive execution through ambiguous privacy and trust challenges
• Experience in privacy-adjacent domains such as privacy UX, trust & safety, security, data governance, or responsible AI
• Ability to connect user expectations and regulatory requirements to product strategy and prioritization
• Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches, including user research, surveys, and funnel analysis
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to turn nuanced technical or policy concepts into clear user value
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts and manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
