About the role
Responsibilities
- Define the networking strategy required to support Snowflake’s AI products, including low-latency inference paths and high-throughput data pipelines
- Partner with AI platform, compute, and storage teams to ensure networking capabilities meet performance and reliability needs
- Drive architectural decisions around traffic engineering, load balancing, service mesh, and multi-cloud routing
- Identify and prioritize networking innovations to improve tail latency, throughput, and cost efficiency
- Define customer-facing networking capabilities and abstractions for secure, high-performance AI workloads
- Improve observability and diagnostics for network performance
- Partner with security teams to ensure alignment with zero-trust architectures and encryption requirements
- Lead cross-functional execution across infrastructure, AI, security, and go-to-market teams
Requirements
- 2+ years of product management experience in infrastructure, networking, distributed systems, or cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, routing, service mesh, private link)
- Experience building or operating platforms for latency-sensitive or high-throughput workloads
- Ability to collaborate deeply with engineers on architectural design and scalability
- Customer-first mindset with ability to translate complex infrastructure challenges into product experiences
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI/ML platforms, including inference services or GPU-accelerated workloads
- Familiarity with cloud networking constructs (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Envoy, Istio) or network observability platforms
- Background working with security teams on zero-trust networking models
