About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead product planning and idea generation for PlayStation hardware, including consoles, controllers, and peripherals
- Define requirements and specifications based on user value, business viability, and technical feasibility
- Formulate specification policies considering cost and mass production requirements
- Drive cross-functional collaboration and lead decision-making processes with related departments
- Manage product lifecycle from launch preparation to post-launch improvements based on market data
Requirements
- Experience in product planning or product management for consumer electronics hardware
- Experience in people management or leading cross-functional product development
- Strong logical thinking and communication skills
- Native-level Japanese for advanced documentation and coordination
- Business-level English for reading documents, emailing, and presenting to global members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in product planning for gaming consoles or gaming peripherals
- Passion for the PlayStation platform and gaming industry
