Responsibilities

• Represent the user by bringing findings on design quality and visual editing workflows to the team
• Run end-to-end discovery including user interviews, competitive research, and usability testing
• Own the design quality bar to ensure AI-generated outputs are consistent and on-brand
• Scope functionality ruthlessly to ship high-impact features and validate through metrics
• Enable sales, support, and marketing teams with necessary product context
• Audit AI-generated visual output and define quality gaps
• Own the first iteration of a coherent theming and design system experience

Requirements

• 6+ years in the software industry
• Experience in product management or engineering leadership on design tools, visual editors, or creative platforms (e.g., Figma, Canva, Webflow)
• Deep understanding of design systems, theming, typography, and layout
• Experience thinking about design in an AI-first context
• Technical curiosity regarding how design tools and AI systems work

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience closing the gap between AI-generated output and genuinely designed experiences
• Strong opinions on how AI should make design decisions on behalf of users
