Product Manager

Responsibilities

• Drive the commercial and operational success of the Africa travel programme
• Identify growth opportunities through market analysis, client research, and sales projections
• Negotiate and contract rates and services with key suppliers
• Design destinations, itineraries, and content for annual brochures and the company website
• Manage product costing and pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability
• Oversee air and ground allocations within the reservations system
• Conduct destination visits to maintain high product quality standards
• Train Sales Consultants and plan educational visits to enhance product knowledge
• Coordinate with Marketing for product promotion and Customer Services for feedback resolution
• Monitor Foreign Office advice and manage emergency mobile phone duties on a rota basis

Requirements

• Extensive travel experience within Africa
• Proven experience in product commercial management and costing
• Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
• Expertise in itinerary planning and brochure content creation
• Proficiency with reservation systems and managing product data
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
