About the Company

Halter is on a mission to enable farmers and graziers to run the most productive and sustainable operations through virtual fencing technology. Backed by Tier 1 investors, Halter builds tools that allow farmers to manage animals without the need for physical fences, quad bikes, or dogs.

Responsibilities

• Get out on farm regularly to understand how Halter fits into daily operations
• Identify true farmer needs and translate them into functional product features
• Prioritize product development based on impact for dairy or beef environments
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to ship features
• Monitor feature rollout and adoption to ensure success in the field

Requirements

• Practical experience working on a farm (shepherd, farm hand, farm manager, or Rural Professional)
• Deep understanding of the realities and challenges of farming
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and solve complex, messy problems
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Passion for simplicity, usability, and elegant product design

Preferred Qualifications

• High curiosity regarding how virtual fencing technology works
• Ability to work at a fast pace with evolving requirements
