Product Manager: Formulation and Packaging

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for formulation, packaging, ingredient, and substance management platforms.
• Establish systems that act as a single source of truth for ingredients, substances, materials, and composition structures.
• Support formulation and packaging scientists with digital tools that enable efficient design, iteration, and visibility of dependencies.
• Manage the product backlog and demand prioritization in collaboration with senior R&D and functional leaders.
• Lead cross-functional delivery teams using Agile and DevOps practices to design scalable, user-centric systems.
• Ensure systems meet internal security, data governance, and GxP compliance standards.
• Drive global adoption of new capabilities and act as a change agent across R&D teams.

Requirements

• Significant experience across R&D, Formulation and Packaging Science, Regulatory, Safety, or Manufacturing.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner for complex, enterprise-scale platforms.
• Strong understanding of formulation development, ingredient data, and substance data models.
• Experience working in regulated R&D environments with an awareness of GxP implications.
• Proficiency with Agile and DevOps delivery models.
• Experience in vendor and partner management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage with senior scientific leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial or bespoke formulation, packaging, or ingredient management systems.
• Exposure to consumer health, pharmaceutical, or life sciences R&D environments.
• Experience integrating formulation systems with regulatory, safety, lab, or manufacturing platforms.
