About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end integration lifecycle for Grand Central’s banking vendor connectors, from discovery and API mapping to live deployment.
- Serve as the primary PM point of contact for strategic bank clients, managing the relationship and delivery outcome throughout the implementation.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with bank architects and integration leads to understand technical constraints and data flows.
- Define and maintain integration standards, including API specifications, data mapping documentation, and operational runbooks.
- Translate complex requirements into structured product artifacts such as PRDs, user stories, and integration blueprints.
- Act as first-line triage for integration issues, investigating root causes and providing engineering with clear reproduction steps.
- Surface client feedback and integration gaps to the core product team to directly shape the Grand Central roadmap.
- Collaborate with Sales and Pre-Sales on technical go-to-market activities, including RFPs and product demonstrations.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Product Management, Solutions Engineering, Technical Consulting, or Implementation PM.
- At least 2 years of experience leading integrations with banks, payment processors, or financial systems in a client-facing capacity.
- Strong technical fluency with API-based integrations, including REST, SOAP, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
- Proven ability to produce technical artifacts such as API specifications and data mapping documentation.
- Experience managing delivery backlogs in Agile environments.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical engineers and non-technical executives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Backbase Grand Central or comparable iPaaS/API management platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato).
- Experience with event-driven architecture, microservices, and data reconciliation processes within banking.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP in a banking technology deployment context.
