Product Line Director - Castings

Responsibilities

• Act as the entrepreneurial owner of the castings line of business, including die, investment, and sand casting
• Define and evolve product line strategy, pricing, and go-to-market positioning to drive profitable growth
• Shape the castings capability roadmap by defining processes, alloys, tolerances, and certifications
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Design for Casting (DFC), alloy selection, and defect mechanisms
• Influence cross-functional partners in sales, marketing, and engineering to execute business strategy
• Track key metrics including growth, margin, quote-to-order conversion, and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations Management
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in metal castings (die, investment, or sand casting)
• 5+ years in a leadership role responsible for growth, operations, or business development
• Deep expertise in casting processes, alloy selection, gating, solidification, and tooling design
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100, NADCA, and ASTM
• Proven ability to drive commercial strategy and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel as needed to support customers and foundry partners

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
