Product Lead - Data Product and Insights

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy for Data Products & Insights, covering data foundations, analytics, and GenAI
• Manage and coach a small team of product managers to help them develop their craft and impact
• Build shared foundations for GenAI production use, including retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails
• Work with teams across Wise to identify and prioritize GenAI opportunities that help customers most
• Define evaluation measures for AI outputs, such as accuracy, latency, customer satisfaction, and cost
• Partner with Legal and Compliance to ensure regulation is built into the product lifecycle from the start

Requirements

• Experience shipping Data or AI products with measurable customer outcomes
• Technical foundation in data engineering, data platforms, or ML/AI systems
• Proficiency in SQL and the ability to hold architectural conversations with engineers
• Experience managing or mentoring product managers while remaining hands-on with product work
• Working knowledge of LLM application patterns, such as retrieval and agents
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, payments, or another highly regulated industry
• Hands-on familiarity with the modern data stack (e.g., Iceberg, Delta, Snowflake, Databricks, or dbt)
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as the EU AI Act, DORA, or MAS FEAT
