Responsibilities

• Assemble wiring harnesses for prototyping activities
• Perform SMT component soldering and wire soldering for harnesses
• Execute initial mechanical assemblies of new products from assembly drawings
• Maintain inventory of hardware used for prototypes
• Track electronic board modifications using serial numbers
• Determine appropriate methods for applying modifications to PCBs
• Contribute to documentation of electronic board rework and modifications (cut & jump)
• Support production teams by providing assembly details for new products
• Communicate improvement opportunities identified during prototyping to engineering teams
• Execute tests according to qualification plans established by engineering

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Mastery of mechanical assembly techniques and fastening tools
• Ability to read and interpret PCB electronic schematics
• Ability to read and interpret wiring and harness drawings
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Ability to track multiple modifications across different prototypes
• Ability to perform electronic testing (RF testing is an asset)
• Functional proficiency in French and English (oral and written)
