Product Engineering Manager – Turbine Airfoils

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a cross-discipline engineering team at the Asheville airfoil manufacturing facility.
• Provide engineering support for the Asheville casting and machining product lines, including technical leadership and production support.
• Oversee the full product life cycle, including producibility improvements, non-conformance dispositions, and field event investigations.
• Manage integration between Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), part-responsible IPTs, and Asheville Operations/Quality.
• Support Model Based Definition, Manufacture and Inspection (MBDMI) deployment.
• Collaborate with Turbine Airfoil discipline leadership to align product design standards with manufacturing learning and field findings.

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with 12+ years of relevant work experience (or an advanced degree with 10+ years of experience).
• Proven experience in Product Design, including team leadership roles involving Production Introduction and Product Life Cycle responsibilities.
• Professional experience within the aerospace or aerospace manufacturing industry.
• US Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad understanding of Turbine airfoil design and manufacturing processes, including casting, machining, and coating.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in turbine airfoil technology.
• Previous supervisory experience managing Product Design team members.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Master's Degree in Engineering.
