About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a large cadre of experienced engineering individuals across global locations including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand
- Own product intent, portfolio priorities, and trade-off decisions across assigned product lines
- Assemble and monitor high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Engage stakeholders to reconcile strategic, commercial, and technical priorities, translating customer signals into product direction
- Define and guard product intent, establishing scope and target audience
- Collaborate with team leads to review high-level architecture, internal project goals, and technical barriers
- Partner with stakeholders to refine project priorities and adapt deliveries based on evolving market requirements
- Analyze program requirements and develop effort estimates in conjunction with program management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in software development, process automation, quality engineering, or network operations
- 4+ years of experience leading a team
- Demonstrated proficiency in mobile platform (Android or iOS) internals and native programming languages (Objective-C, Swift, Java, and/or Kotlin)
- Working knowledge of operating system and application vulnerability classes
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), git workflows, and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)
- Practical experience with Agile software development methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Substantial experience in CNO development or offensive cyber security
- Experience in low-level programming languages and instruction sets
- Ability to install and operate developer debugging tools on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS
- Proficiency using reverse engineering tools such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, or Hopper and dynamic tools such as Frida or ADB
