About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a large cadre of experienced engineering individuals across global locations including the US, Canada, UK, Australia, and New Zealand
  • Own product intent, portfolio priorities, and trade-off decisions across assigned product lines
  • Assemble and monitor high-performance, multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Engage stakeholders to reconcile strategic, commercial, and technical priorities, translating customer signals into product direction
  • Define and guard product intent, establishing scope and target audience
  • Collaborate with team leads to review high-level architecture, internal project goals, and technical barriers
  • Analyze program requirements and develop effort estimates in conjunction with program management partners

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in software development, process automation, quality engineering, or network operations
  • 4+ years of experience leading a team
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages and operating systems (Linux, Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS)
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity foundations (e.g., penetration testing, offensive/defensive techniques, forensics)
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), git workflows, and CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP communications, network security principles, and client/server architecture
  • Practical experience with agile software development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in CNO development or offensive cybersecurity
  • Experience in low-level programming languages and instruction sets
  • Ability to install and operate developer debugging tools on various operating systems
  • Experience with microservices and DevOps practices
