About the role
Responsibilities
- Interface with internal and external suppliers, engineering, and program leadership to develop cost reduction activities and mitigate process defects
- Use statistical analysis to promote effective design choices and resolve product-specific design and process challenges
- Gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment working with RF Microelectronics for land, sea, airborne, and space applications
- Implement new products, processes, policies, and standards to support functional strategy and operational plans
- Drive continuous improvement through process and cycle time reductions using Six Sigma principles
- Support ongoing development builds within a clean room environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Secret security clearance
- Strong communication skills to convey technical trade studies to customers
- Proven ability to troubleshoot issues and establish root cause corrective actions
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of program life cycles, MRL/TRL requirements, and DFMA/DPD processes
- Experience with electronic assembly processes such as SMT, wire bond, and vacuum lamination
- Proficiency in running designed experiments (DOEs) and statistical data handling analysis
- Familiarity with metrology processes (CSAM, X-ray, SEM/EDS, etc.) and capacity analysis
