Product Engineer

About the Company

Patch exists to rebalance the planet by making environmental commodities easier to understand, trust, and buy. We are building the software and market infrastructure that powers unified climate action, routing hundreds of millions of dollars to carbon-removal projects.

Responsibilities

• Build customer-facing workflows to streamline research, sourcing, and purchasing of environmental commodities
• Partner with Product and Design to converge on high-impact 80/20 solutions
• Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) on initiatives, clarifying scope and sequencing work
• Raise the quality bar through thoughtful reviews and pragmatic architecture
• Communicate clearly and in writing to drive decision-making

Requirements

• Product engineer mindset with a focus on solving user problems
• High ownership and ability to work with ambiguity
• Strong engineering fundamentals for building reliable and maintainable software
• Ability to collaborate directly and hold yourself to a high bar of urgency
• Proficiency in using AI-native workflows to tighten feedback loops

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with Ruby on Rails and Stimulus
• Experience in high-growth, high-trust engineering environments
