Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary product development teams (APQP) to validate new products, line extensions, and electromechanical components.
• Coordinate engineering pilots, including planning, execution, and documentation of results.
• Manage and coordinate finished product and raw material testing in conjunction with the quality laboratory.
• Design and coordinate the fabrication of engineering fixtures required for pilot runs and regular production.
• Manage engineering changes (ECO/ECR) within BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Maintain updated technical product documentation, including motor matrices, technical data, and tooling.
• Perform technical analysis of functional performance and structure, including deviations and resistance in subassemblies.
• Propose innovations in functionality, ergonomics, energy efficiency, and product design.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in product development or engineering within appliances or discrete manufacturing.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Proven experience leading New Product Development (NPD) projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience with PTC Windchill (product data management) and SAP (BOM management).
• Strong knowledge of APQP and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience with products utilizing universal AC motors (e.g., blenders, mixers).
• Knowledge of regulatory standards such as NOM-016-ENER, UL 982, or IEC 60335.
• Experience with failure analysis methodologies including DFMEA, PFMEA, 8D, and Ishikawa.
