Product Engineer - FPGA/Emulation & ACAP Compilation Tools

Responsibilities

• Own the Emulation & Prototyping product area and act as a team champion for high-impact projects and key customers.
• Drive critical customer escalations to closure and contribute to the rollout of new emulation and prototyping technologies.
• Triage reported issues across product areas, including hardware emulation flows, FPGA prototyping platforms, and design compilation.
• Explore innovative emulation and prototyping methodologies to impact design practices for next-generation AMD SoC and Versal ACAP device families.
• Develop and deliver technical training materials regarding new emulation/prototyping features, platforms, and methodologies.

Requirements

• MS or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technology area.
• Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong working knowledge of RTL-based design flows and pre-silicon validation expectations.
• Comprehensive understanding of the FPGA or ASIC design process and tool flows.
• Experience with hardware emulation platforms and/or FPGA prototyping systems (e.g., HAPS, Protium).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Tcl, Perl, or Python.
• Proven ability to solve complex system-level issues in emulation and prototyping environments.
• Excellent technical communication skills with the ability to simplify complex subjects for management and customers.
