Product Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic workflows for production incidents including orchestration, prompting, tool use, and evaluation
• Engineer context and retrieval systems using semantic search, keyword, API, and SQL
• Ship product features end-to-end from backend data models to React interfaces
• Partner with platform and research teams to integrate AI capabilities into customer-facing products
• Take ownership of ambiguous projects and work directly with customers to refine features

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in full-stack, product, or AI engineering roles
• Production experience with LLMs or agent-based systems
• Strong experience in TypeScript, React, Postgres, and NestJS
• Experience with AI production realities such as evaluations, latency, and error handling
• Proven ability to own projects end-to-end in a startup environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform)
• Background in developer tools, infrastructure, or observability
• Experience building retrieval or search systems
• Experience working directly with customers to shape product
• Prior tech-lead or project leadership experience
