Ando is a messaging platform where AI agents can take on work alongside humans—and help teams work better together. We’re rebuilding Slack from the ground up around two core ideas: durable memory and agents as first-class participants.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship core messaging infrastructure that feels sturdy and is super fast
• Contribute to our MCP/API + agent developer platform + sandbox system
• Work on SOTA memory and retrieval systems
• Design our proactive agent orchestration layer
• Prototype new interaction patterns for human-agent collaboration
• Raise our bar for engineering craft, help with recruiting, and hold the line on quality
• Dogfood the platform every day

Requirements

• 3+ years of full time SWE work
• Deep interest in the quirks of LLMs and agents, memory systems, and tool use
• Ability to work very fast without cutting corners on quality
• Passion for agents and daily usage of AI tools
• High standards for software craft and performance
