Product Documentation Lead

Responsibilities

• Triage documentation requests and scope work with stakeholders
• Own sprint planning and manage backlogs in an agile environment
• Set and track deadlines aligned with product release and engineering milestones
• Maintain visibility into writer capacity and flag resourcing risks
• Build and maintain reporting for ticket age, burndown, velocity, and backlog health
• Manage publication and administrative workflows from review through delivery
• Manage documentation review flow in GitHub, including reviewing and merging pull requests
• Maintain the develop branch and prepare main for publication
• Manage docs deployment via CI/CD pipelines
• Create and publish changelogs and maintain version tracking

Requirements

• 5–7 years in technical writing, content operations, or content management
• Scrum master experience or equivalent agile delivery ownership
• Proficiency with docs-as-code workflow in GitHub
• Proficiency with issue tracking and reporting in Linear or equivalent tools
• Experience collaborating with engineering, product, and program teams
• Experience writing operations, maintenance, and service documentation
• Ability to translate ambiguity into structured, actionable plans
