Product Development Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as a key bridge between engineering and materials functions to ensure design projects are completed on time and within budget
• Support material cost management by providing cost estimations for custom engineered components during planning and concept development
• Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) costs during concept and functional specification phases to mitigate revisions caused by scope changes
• Collaborate with commodity managers to select appropriate sourcing strategies and lead supplier negotiations
• Facilitate supplier involvement in design for manufacturability efforts and lead collaboration between suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and engineering

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
• 6+ years of related experience in sourcing, procurement, or product development
• Proven negotiation and project management skills
• Strong data analysis and decision-making capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization
• Experience in developing systems, procedures, and product development concepts like benchmarking or reverse engineering
