Product Development Senior Chemist

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of innovative cosmetic formulations from concept to completion
• Prepare and test lab batches to assess performance, stability, and product integrity
• Design and execute product testing strategies, including efficacy and claims support
• Analyze results, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and make data-driven decisions
• Collaborate with Marketing, Packaging, R&D, Regulatory, and suppliers to bring products to market
• Develop product demonstrations and support claims that resonate with consumer needs and industry trends
• Ensure all development activities are completed on time and meet required standards

Requirements

• Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a similar scientific discipline
• Experience in product formulation or bench chemistry, ideally within the cosmetics industry
• Strong technical knowledge of cosmetic ingredients such as polymers, emulsions, surfactants, and colorants
• Strong problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly
