Product Development Scientist

Responsibilities

• Handle color formulation projects from lab bench level through to commercialization
• Act as project manager for development projects from conception through launch
• Interact with external customers and internal departments to define technical parameters
• Maintain written technical documentation, product specifications, and process specifications
• Support production with upscaling and troubleshooting
• Provide training for QC and production personnel in new formulations and analytical methods
• Conduct in-person consultations with customers at their facilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science, or related field with 5+ years experience
• MSc with 3+ years relevant experience, or Ph.D. in a related field
• Strong experience in project management and stakeholder management
• Deep knowledge of food ingredients and processing
• Experience with customer interaction and driving customer projects
• General understanding of analytical techniques and food quality and safety
• Excellent color vision (Color Vision Testing Required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
