Product Development Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Identify, troubleshoot, contain, and permanently correct engineering issues within the assembly plant
• Develop mechanical products by studying customer requirements and researching manufacturing methods
• Provide direct line production support for vehicle body systems
• Coordinate testing of designs for durability and compliance with Federal, State, and local requirements
• Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Materials, Quality, and Purchasing groups
• Support plant goals regarding safety, quality, and cost while maintaining product integrity

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on an unrestricted basis
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Unigraphics or other solid modeling CAD software
• Proficiency with Teamcenter and MS Office
• Strong communication skills and a high sense of urgency
