Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure technical product compliance with internal ZF specifications, processes, and external requirements for conventional shock absorbers.
• Execute product engineering tasks including benchmarking, specification definition, technical design, documentation, and validation.
• Deliver projects on time, within quality standards, and within budget for new product releases and existing product changes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support global development and compliance activities.
• Perform sample testing, homologation, and product release (PEDA) activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering.
• 3+ years of engineering experience with exposure to process and quality control.
• Proven experience in Product Development Engineering, specifically in the design/development of shock absorbers.
• Strong knowledge of shock absorber development processes, including valve tuning and damping force interpretation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and operate measurement equipment such as CMM, 3D scanners, or gauges.
• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) with strong communication and teamwork skills.
