Product Development Engineer - Software

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the codebase for Automated Fastening Systems to ensure reliability and performance
• Design and implement new software features in collaboration with Product Management and Sales
• Build prototype systems and perform real-world testing and validation
• Troubleshoot software and electrical system issues to support Plant Operations and Field Services
• Analyze large datasets from machine measurements, process logs, and sensor data to uncover actionable insights
• Write comprehensive test plans to guarantee system quality and compliance

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong Object-Oriented programming skills in C#/C++, C, or similar languages
• Experience programming embedded systems within Linux environments
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in industrial automation or mechatronics
• Familiarity with industrial networks such as DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, or Profinet
• Experience with full-stack web application development
