About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the codebase for Stanley Engineered Fastening (SEF) Automated Fastening Systems to ensure reliability and performance
- Drive feature development by collaborating with Product Management and Sales to implement new software features
- Participate in building prototype systems and performing real-world testing and fastening operations
- Troubleshoot software and electrical system issues to support Plant Operations and Technical Field Services
- Write comprehensive test plans and perform validation testing to guarantee system quality and compliance
- Analyze large datasets from machine measurements, process logs, and sensor data to uncover actionable insights
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 2–3 years of professional software engineering experience
- Strong Object-Oriented programming skills in C#/C++, C, and experience with embedded systems in Linux environments
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting using multimeters, oscilloscopes, JTAG/in-circuit debuggers, and serial debuggers
- Willingness to work across various domains, including full-stack web application development
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in industrial automation or mechatronics
- Familiarity with industrial networks such as DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, or Profinet
