Product Development Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering insight and improvement solutions for new product development (NPI)
• Screen and analyze new product performance to provide actionable recommendations
• Statistically evaluate and interpret collected product and field-based testing data
• Review design shortcomings and faults to pinpoint weaknesses and improvement points
• Communicate with R&D and factory laboratories to provide US usage-based engineering statistics
• Assist in the preparation of service, installation, and engineering manuals for US commercialization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software and interpreting drawings with GD&T knowledge
• High-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including macro proficiency for programming
• Strong analytical, interpersonal problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and operate independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience within the HVAC industry
• Exposure to various manufacturing processes and designing for manufacturability
• Experience with agency certifications such as CSA, UL, or DOE
