Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept, design, prototyping, testing, certification, to mass production
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
• Identify market needs, customer requirements, and technology trends to define product roadmap
• Manage technical specifications, documentation, and version control for all new products
• Ensure products meet performance, quality, safety, and regulatory compliance such as CE, BIS, and RoHS
• Optimize product cost through design improvements, vendor development, and BOM cost reduction

Requirements

• Engineering or Science Graduate
• 5+ years of experience
• Relevant experience in design and development of low ampere, low voltage, compact AC/DC power adapters
• Strong understanding of power supply electronics, circuit design, electronics hardware, embedded systems, and mechanical design
• Expertise in power adaptor and power supply design and development
• Knowledge of power components including MOSFETs, PWM controllers, rectifiers, transformers, magnetics, and thermals
• Understanding of testing standards such as EMI/EMC, environmental, safety, reliability, and CE/BIS
