About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the end-to-end product development process for Knitwear, acting as a technical specialist to translate design visions into high-quality products.
  • Partner closely with Designers to provide technical feedback on feasibility, construction, yarns, and raw materials during fittings and brainstorming.
  • Manage the critical path from concept to pre-production, ensuring all prototypes and samples are delivered on time and within cost targets.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors across the EU and Asia, negotiating costs and aesthetic changes to maintain design integrity.
  • Ensure all systems are updated with 100% accuracy to prevent production delays or excess raw material.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to ensure collections meet relevant testing standards and functionality requirements.
  • Support and coach Product Development Assistants to help them expand their industry knowledge and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of apparel product development across Menswear and Womenswear.
  • Deep technical expertise in knitwear construction, yarns, and raw materials.
  • Proven experience in vendor relationship management and delivering clear technical briefs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage critical paths and mitigate risks to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and achieve target margins.
  • Proficiency in Kubix, Excel, and InDesign.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
