Product Developer

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete product development lifecycle for a high-volume assortment, overseeing hundreds of seasonal SKUs from concept through production handoff
• Collaborate with Design to translate creative concepts into commercially viable products
• Create and maintain detailed product specifications, costing information, and prototype requests within PLM systems
• Source and develop fabrics, trims, washes, and components to meet brand and cost requirements
• Review and approve lab dips, strike-offs, print submissions, and trim developments
• Manage prototype and SMS samples through final approval and provide actionable feedback to vendors
• Partner with management to achieve target costing and margin goals through value-engineering
• Serve as the primary development contact for international vendors and factory partners
• Coordinate with Design, Merchandising, Sales, Sourcing, and Production teams

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of apparel product development experience, preferably in private label or high-volume retail
• Proven ability to manage large SKU counts and multiple product categories simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, textiles, costing, and sourcing
• Proficiency with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills
• Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field
