Product Developer, Bags & Accessories

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of bag styles from initial concept through prototyping to commercialization
• Partner closely with the Design team to translate creative visions into high-quality, technical products
• Oversee the creation of physical samples and prototypes to ensure they meet design intent and quality standards
• Develop detailed product specifications via accurate Tech Packs and manage Bills of Materials (BOM)
• Collaborate with Sourcing and Finance to conduct cost analysis and margin assessments to meet financial targets
• Partner with vendors to optimize production processes, enhance product quality, and drive efficiency
• Maintain alignment with product calendars and provide transparent status updates and risk analysis to stakeholders
• Drive innovation by staying updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and 3D/AI simulation tools

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in a Bag and Accessory Development role
• Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or Fashion Design
• Technical expertise in bag and accessory construction, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Proficiency in PLM, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Illustrator and Photoshop)
• Proven experience with cost analysis, production, and sourcing
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle complex projects and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with 3D or AI-driven design and visualization platforms
• Knowledge of sustainable practices within bag and accessory production
