Responsibilities

• Own the Tabs design system end-to-end, including components, patterns, tokens, and documentation
• Lead token strategy covering semantic structure, theming, density, and extensibility
• Work closely with frontend engineers to ensure accurate component implementation and workflow integration
• Audit existing product UI to identify inconsistencies and systematize solutions
• Define and maintain documentation standards for usability
• Validate components against real product contexts to identify gaps and edge cases
• Contribute to and encode accessibility standards into the system
• Establish a contribution model for engineers and future designers

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Product or UI Designer with demonstrable design systems experience
• Deep Figma expertise including components, variants, auto-layout, and library management
• Hands-on experience building or significantly evolving a design system
• Strong token pipeline experience with CSS variables and semantic architectures
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and ability to review work in Storybook
• Strong design fundamentals in visual hierarchy, interaction patterns, and responsive systems
• Ability to work as a peer with engineers to discuss implementation tradeoffs
• Portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, component libraries, or token structures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in B2B SaaS or data-heavy products
• Exposure to fintech or accounting tools
• Coding experience in HTML/CSS or familiarity with React component libraries
