Responsibilities

  • Own product work end to end from problem definition through launch and iteration
  • Use LLMs like Claude to clarify intent, draft PRDs, and surface risks or edge cases
  • Validate assumptions through self-serve research and direct customer interaction
  • Prototype using AI tools like Cursor and Claude Code to iterate on flows and interfaces
  • Translate validated concepts into Figma for full state coverage and system alignment
  • Design for the 80/20 rule, keeping default experiences simple while encoding complexity under the hood
  • Contribute to design patterns, prompts, and culture within the design organization

Requirements

  • Experience as a product designer on complex products (B2B or fintech preferred)
  • Proven ownership of projects from definition through launch
  • Active use of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) in your design workflow
  • Comfort using tools like Cursor or Claude Code
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong product thinking, interaction design, and craft
  • Ability to define success metrics and collaborate with PMs and engineers
  • Based in NYC or willing to relocate to NYC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning and running customer interviews or usability tests
  • Familiarity with design systems and extending shared components
  • Comfort with basic front-end concepts like components and states
  • Experience in fast-moving product teams focused on rapid iteration
