Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Turn broad, conceptual ideas into useful and valuable experiences for over 3 billion users
• Design leading-edge concepts and end-to-end flows using appropriate prototyping tools
• Drive design prioritization and execution to meet accelerated product timelines
• Design new experiences and layouts that evolve existing visual systems
• Communicate strategic decisions regarding the future direction of Instagram products
• Provide and solicit feedback to raise the bar for design quality and mentor other designers
• Act as a cross-functional lead to drive alignment across multiple large organizations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience building and shipping software at company-level scale
• Proven interaction design experience, including the ability to prototype complex behaviors
• Strong visual design proficiency in typography, UI, color, layout, and iconography
• Strategic product thinking with experience developing goals and identifying global market opportunities
• Experience presenting work and communicating concepts clearly to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AI prototyping, coding, and productivity tools
• Familiarity with industry-leading e-commerce and shopping experiences
• Understanding of the creator ecosystem and monetization tools
• Ability to integrate AI tools to optimize workflows and drive measurable impact
• Experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices
