Product Designer, Instagram Cross-Meta Growth

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with leadership to develop and communicate area strategy and key decisions
• Lead the development and expansion of Instagram design principles, patterns, and guidelines across Meta
• Innovate and collaborate to create holistic solutions that support cross-app growth on Instagram surfaces
• Build bridges between Instagram, Meta, and 0-1 efforts to drive top-level organizational outcomes
• Develop systematic design solutions that maintain high craft and simplicity across feed, reels, stories, and profile

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer-facing design systems or products at company-wide scale
• Proven experience defining and driving design strategy and roadmaps across multiple product areas
• Deep expertise in interaction and visual design, including typography, layout, color, and motion systems
• Experience prototyping complex product visions, including the use of AI-integrated prototypes
• Strong ability to communicate design strategy and decisions to executive and cross-functional stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience evolving design systems across multiple form factors and ensuring organizational adoption
• Ability to identify emerging technologies and integrate them effectively into design practices
• Experience implementing responsible and ethical AI practices, including risk assessment and bias mitigation
• Demonstrated ability to build and iterate on AI-powered product experiences and prompt engineering
• Track record of using AI tools to optimize design workflows and deliver measurable efficiency gains
