About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with engineers, product managers, researchers, and data scientists to oversee user experience from concept to launch
- Drive design concepts and decisions to meet revenue generation goals for the "Quests" ad product
- Present designs to the team and organization to build consensus and alignment
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to ensure pixel-perfect implementation
- Test, learn, and iterate on designs alongside cross-functional partners
- Maintain and contribute to the Discord Design pattern library
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience designing and shipping web/app products across various platforms
- Experience combining business acumen, systems thinking, and design craft for advertising experiences
- Proven ability to design end-to-end experiences within cross-functional teams
- Strong product thinking and vision with a focus on the "why" behind design
- Ability to use experiment data to inform design iterations
- Advanced proficiency in Figma
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building design systems
- Rich prototyping experience
- Interface animation know-how
- Skills in CSS, JavaScript, or React
- Casual or committed gamer
