Product Designer, Design Systems

Responsibilities

• Build and scale design systems in Figma at a senior/staff level, including components, variants, and token architecture
• Design token and component structures that translate cleanly into code
• Work with engineers on Code Connect, linking Figma components to their code counterparts
• Advise on structuring design systems for AI tool reliability using docs and MD/JSON files
• Mentor designers on semantic tokens and proper component-building
• Advise on governance models for versioning, contributing, and retiring system updates
• Guide brand refresh implementation through the token layer

Requirements

• Significant experience shipping, rebuilding, or advancing a large design system
• Deep hands-on experience with agentic design and design system/brand gaps for AI
• Strong judgment on component and token architecture (primitive, semantic, component-level)
• Experience managing light/dark and brand theming
• Proven ability to help design teams adopt new systems
• Expertise in platform design standards like Material Design and Apple HIG
