Product Design Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Turn early product ideas into well-resolved, manufacturable hardware across multiple product lines
• Work closely with electrical engineers, industrial engineers, and manufacturing partners to develop new products
• Utilize CAD to develop mechanical layouts, mounting strategies, and internal architectures
• Build prototypes, review physical samples, and iterate based on testing and learning
• Participate in design reviews and work directly with manufacturers to refine designs for production
• Collaborate with deployment and operations teams to improve designs based on installation and handling context

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering
• Experience working on physical hardware products
• Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo or OnShape
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work effectively across disciplines
• Experience with prototyping, testing, and refining designs
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on assembly, installation, and usability
