Product Design Intern

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to explore and define user-centered design solutions
• Assist in creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and user flows for new and existing features
• Work within existing design patterns while identifying opportunities to improve usability and aesthetics
• Contribute to design auditing to ensure consistency with the halo design system
• Participate in design reviews by sharing work and providing constructive feedback to peers
• Engage in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration sessions

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an HCI, User Experience, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar program at a post-secondary institution
• A design portfolio that demonstrates your ability to understand user needs and communicate your design process from concept to final outcome
• Solid understanding of design thinking, usability principles, and inclusive design
• Strong grasp of visual design basics, including layout, typography, and color
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex software designs
