Product Design Engineering Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead the Cryogenic Experts (CEXI) design and drafting team, managing resources and priorities to align with sales and production schedules.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for manufacturing shop floor leads regarding fabrication, welding, and electrical wiring.
• Review formal drawings released to the shop floor to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, product management, and quality teams to model new designs or modifications to existing products.
• Assist in maintaining and improving the drawing change documentation process using PDM.
• Provide technical input on the manufacturability of new and existing products.
• Lead the quality function within the facility in compliance with organizational standards.
• Establish and maintain working parameters with overseas engineering support teams.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years of experience working closely between engineering and manufacturing environments.
• 2 years of demonstrated experience in people leadership or leading a team.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or applicable CAD software.
• Technical expertise in fabrication, welding, and electrical wiring/schematics.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting, including line weights, drawing layouts, and the "three view" layout.
• Familiarity with piping, pipe fittings, flanges, tube fittings, and structural materials.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background and knowledge in industrial gas systems.
• Experience with applicable ASME codes (B31.3 and Sect. VIII).
• Experience with the design and drafting of welded and brazed assemblies.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
