About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the Cryogenic Experts (CEXI) design and drafting team, managing resources and priorities to align with sales and production schedules.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for manufacturing shop floor leads regarding fabrication, welding, and electrical wiring.
- Review formal drawings released to the shop floor to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
- Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, product management, and quality teams to model new designs or modifications to existing products.
- Assist in maintaining and improving the drawing change documentation process using PDM.
- Provide technical input on the manufacturability of new and existing products.
- Lead the quality function within the facility in compliance with organizational standards.
- Establish and maintain working parameters with overseas engineering support teams.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Electro-mechanical Engineering.
- 5 years of experience working closely between engineering and manufacturing environments.
- 2 years of demonstrated experience in people leadership or leading a team.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or applicable CAD software.
- Technical expertise in fabrication, welding, and electrical wiring/schematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical drafting, including line weights, drawing layouts, and the "three view" layout.
- Familiarity with piping, pipe fittings, flanges, tube fittings, and structural materials.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background and knowledge in industrial gas systems.
- Experience with applicable ASME codes (B31.3 and Sect. VIII).
- Experience with the design and drafting of welded and brazed assemblies.
- Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
