Product Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop connector solutions, including board, cable, power, high-speed, and panel mount products.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to develop engineering cost analyses and product solutions.
• Identify and resolve technical problems during new product development or when quality concerns arise.
• Adhere to corporate engineering standards regarding documentation, file management, part modeling, and simulation.
• Autonomously plan and schedule daily tasks to meet project milestones.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in electrical connector design.
• Experience with plastic injection molding and progressive die stamping.
• Proficiency in engineering design software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize a varied and fast-changing workload in a highly organized manner.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of related engineering experience.
• Experience with simulation software, including FEA and CFD/thermal modeling.
